Fishernote Gathers Information
Fishernote gathers information about you, including data that directly or indirectly identifies you, should you or your other members choose to share it with Fishernote. We receive information in various ways, such as when you track, complete, or upload data using the Services. Fishernote also collects information about how you use the Services. There are numerous opportunities for you to share information about yourself, your friends, and your sessions with Fishernote. For instance: Account, Profile, Sessions, Activity and Use Information
We gather basic account information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, username, and password, which facilitates securing and providing you access to our Services.
Data about profile, activity, and usage
We collect your contact information when you upload a photo, activity (including date, time, geo-location details), or a post, participate in a challenge, view others’ activities, or otherwise engage with the Services.
Location Data
We collect and process location data when you register for and use the Services. We do not monitor your device’s location when you are not using Fishernote, but tracking your device’s location while using Fishernote is required for Fishernote’s core Services to function. You can disable device location tracking at any time by adjusting your device’s settings.
Posting Content
We collect data from images, posts, comments, ratings, reviews, and other content you provide on the Services.
Contacts Information
You have the option of adding your contacts details by linking your contacts from your mobile device or social networking accounts to Fishernote. If you decide to share your contacts with Fishernote, Fishernote will access and store your contacts’ details to identify connections and assist you in connecting with them, based on your instructions.
Payment data
When you make a payment on Fishernote, you may provide payment data such as your payment card or other payment specifics. We use Payment Card Industry compliant third-party payment services and we do not retain your credit card details.
Third-Party Accounts
Fishernote allows you to register and log into the Services using accounts you create with third-party products and services such as Facebook, Google, or Apple (collectively, “Third-Party Accounts”). If you access the Services using Third-Party Accounts, we will collect information that you have consented to make available such as your name, email address, profile data, and preferences. This data is collected by the Third-Party Account provider and is provided to Fishernote under their privacy policies. We use the information we collect about you, your followers, and your activities to personalize your experience. For example, we may suggest fishing spots, challenges, or groups that may pique your interest, anglers that you may want to follow, or new features that you may want to try. If we know you enjoy fishing, we may notify you about new fishing activities or display sponsored content related to fishing.

We use the information we collect to protect users, enforce our Terms of Service and promote safety, such as identifying and removing content that violates our terms, such as hate speech or spam, and suspending or terminating accounts that spread such content.

You can adjust the visibility of the activities you upload to Fishernote, and you can also share your activities with your contacts via text, email, or social media applications.
If you link your Fishernote account to other social networks and share your activities, they will be viewable on these third-party platforms, including your location information. Marketing or promotional emails include unsubscribe instructions at the bottom. Please note that administrative or service-related emails (e.g., purchase confirmations or updates to this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service) cannot be unsubscribed from.
Updating Account Information

Delete Information and Accounts,
Our self-service tools enable you to delete your account
Once you submit a deletion request, we will permanently and irreversibly delete your personal data from our systems, including backups. Please keep in mind that once deleted, your data, account, activities, and positions on leaderboards cannot be restored. Following the account deletion, it may take up to 60 days for us to delete your personal information and system logs from our systems.
Please keep in mind that content you’ve shared with others, such as photos, or that others have copied, may remain visible even after you delete your account or specific information from your profile, and that search engine results may continue to display your public profile until the search engine refreshes its cache.
Fishernote also allows you to erase particular activity without deleting your entire account, albeit the activities may stay in our servers until you cancel your account.

Information Retention
We keep information for as long as it is necessary to provide the Services to you and others, subject to any legal obligations requiring further retention. In general, information associated with your account will be kept until it is no longer necessary to provide the Services or until your account is deleted. You also have the option to delete specific information items (e.g., profile information) and remove specific activities from public view without deleting your account.
Following the deletion of your account, it may take up to 90 days to fully remove your personal information and system logs from our systems; however, we may retain certain information to comply with legal requirements, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms of Service, and take other actions permitted by law.
Information that is no longer required or relevant for providing our Services may be de-identified or aggregated with other non-personal data to generate commercially valuable insights for Fishernote, such as usage statistics for the Services, which may be derived from publicly available segments, routes, and depersonalized geolocation information, and will be de-identified from your name and other identifiers.
